In Memphis

On Valentine’s day
Die suddenly
At a wonderful age
Though were you ready
were you ready to go?
When you still got so much to say

Somehow I know
Somehow I know you’re drowning slow
Receiving just everything

Oh
What a way to go
I know that
You’re smiling
You’re peaceful

You’re smiling”

…Music seems to me to be the most closely identified with my soul. I mean, I feel that it’s the best for me. It just gets into the bloodstream so quickly for no reason at all. You can close your heart and sleep even with your eyes closed, but you can never close your ears.

Finally the videos from the 2009 Crypt session have been released and it is kind of amazing, because the songs sound very different, but still really good.

Seriously, watch these if you do nothing else today, because it is so interesting to see how these songs started out and what they have developed to, to become the songs they are today.
